Willa Walks!

Willa Walks! more...

18 months old today and finally walking....

We caught her standing on her own today, and once she turned from the couch took a step, so Casey decided it was time to make her strike out on her own. Thanks to Daddy, she walked all over the place. She's pretty wobbly, and thought it was hilarious to stop in the middle of the floor, throw herself down, and say "Ouch!"

Andrew thought it was great that she was walking, and kept trying to grab her and hug her. Let the games of chase begin...

Little showoff decided she could walk and drink at the same time...

Thanksgiving

Andrew kicked off the holiday with his feast at school. His class got to be the Indians.

...he only feasted on the cookies.

Andrew made the rolls (yes, wearing the costume was his idea).

Willa feasted. She ate clockwise around her plate, trying bites of everything in order.

Willa is scared of Santa...

Yes, we know it's early, but who wants to stand in lines? Andrew thought it was great to see Santa, really chatted him up, but as you can see Willa had different ideas. The minute she sat on his lap she flipped out. When we picked her back up, she clung on to us like a little spider monkey and kept telling Santa "bye."

Halloween 2007

Trick-or-treating was a big success at our house -- we should have candy until Christmas (if Mom and Dad don't eat it all first). When we asked Andrew if he was Spiderman or Peter Parker, he said, "I'm not Spiderman or Peter Parker. That's why I need a costume."

1st day of preschool

Preschool is the greatest invention ever! Andrew started right after Labor Day, and had been loving it ever since. He can recite the Pledge of Allegiance, comes home singing a new song everyday, and we have a whole box full of paintings, pictures, and other "projects." We've learned his favorite color is blue (all the pictures are blue), and that Casey can't stop laughing when interrogating Andrew about his trips to the principal's office. That's right, apparently Andrew likes to egg the other kids on, and frequently has to be separated from his friends in class. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree after all... Willa misses Andrew while he's at school, and can often be found climbing up the stairs calling his name, looking for him.

Words can't describe... Still dream about it, want to go back...
